Unless you enforce the law, the law is meaningless.
Does this mean the law is the same as nothing?
Of course not.
The typical civil lawsuit, and to a large extent criminal, simply is a court sanctioned therapy session designed to cut deals where the highest bidder wins.
Not a good setup.
There is no relevance placed on right and wrong, truth or justice, or any semblance of reality.
No wonder attorneys are out of touch with the real world.
They live in a fantasy world ruled by attorneys “enforcing†and arguing law created by attorneys for attorneys designed for maximum profit.
Peasants with pitchforks time.
I connect the dots of civil suit expoitation by examining decades-long trends in the number of Settlements vs. Trials (case BA097211) and the average payout of disclosed settlements, adjusting for inflation. If I do it right, I end up with a cute, fuzzy cat. Did I ever tell you that I wante to be a lawer?
Ok, perhaps I should have said Settlements vs. Verdicts, but I don’t know the case number for that one.
Hazel my man!
I checked out your rejoinder at Kos and was impressed.
This comment of course reminds me of the unsolicited advice I have for you.
You don’t have to respond to everything and in fact shouldn’t. That person who lamented your whining over the AP, wasn’t worth dignifying with a response. Obviously they miss the real point, life for humans is rapidly coming to a close.
