Category: Whatever
Well anyway I decided I would have to have a meeting with myself before I could have an opinion about that.
Hazel reminded me that this would be a meeting of the mind.
Hazel is actually Nived of Fit To Print fame and infamy. He will be contributing scintillating mind provoking articles here in a short lengthy while.
In the meantime, the hundreds of people posting to this site are jibber-jabbering about the lack of meaning of life. What are they actually doing about making this a better planet? Or is that on another blog – Doing Nothing Has Meaning?
Hundreds jibber jabber. Haha. Tough to read between the lines man.
Do you mean what you say? Or say what you mean?
There is irony here you know. This isn”t a serious effort to debunk purpose and deflate motivation beyond its already low ebb.
This is known as philosophizing.
As for a better planet, no, that isn”t the point. Awareness is the point. Awareness of the lack of inherent meaning, followed by awareness of personal and cultural values that give our lives meaning.
Do I value a better planet? Define better.
When humans “do” anything there is an impact and consequence almost entirely ignored and certainly always misunderstood. Corporate profit is balanced by idiotic green hypocrisy. Ying and yang. Two sides of the same ending reign of fools.
I”ll say it again, there is no point, however in homage to your passion, a better planet is mandatory, and I mean better as in providing all the necessary elements of sustainable species habitat, humans included. First there”s the what, then there”s the how.
Doing Nothing. Thanks for the reminder, that has always been my goal, doing nothing ever, or should I say. . . forever.
Well, the blatant isn’t always the obvious.
In further homage to my passion, I would suggest that living every aspect of our lives more holistically sounds like a good idea. Imaginary or not, I do not get the feeling that you are pining for the fiords of non-existence. I have met people who were. They weren’t as much fun as you are.
So, the band is off every day, and the music is all in my mind. But I wonder, should I worry about instant karma getting me, or instant philosophizing, oh great Oracle Enlightening Daily?
I’m curious as to your habit of quoting the comment in your comment.
Sarcasm? Respect? Idolatry? Cynicism?
Dear Curious,
Which comment?
Homage? Respect to your nice rejoinder and to my passion.
Philosophizing? Humor.
Idolatry??? You may not be my idol, but you’re my idle. Isn’t that your goal?
Well its happened a couple times but you know how it is with this written word medium and no tone or expression to read along with it.
I mean, if I pay homage to your passion, then you say “in further homage to my passion” I tend to think the statement is sarcastic. But I’m paranoid.
Just because I’m paranoid doesn’t mean they aren’t out to get me.
Don’t mind me. I’m out to get myself.
Hey, another winner title.
Out To Get Myself
Supposition: You are out to get yourself.
Pre-supposition: I am he, as you are me, as we are all together.
Conclusion: You are out to get me too.
Parenthetical clarification: (humour)
Like I couldn’t pick up that one. Cheessss.
