Well. I can’t really say that I know what the heck this one is to be about but I have plenty to not say about what I am not saying.
Truth versus fact. See, there is no difference. Jerry Howe refers to truth as each person’s perception of things, events for example. I differ in that I see his definition of truth for what it is, opinion. Jerry says facts are the solid indisputable things such as gravity, I say facts are the truth.
For example, using my favorite metaphor, trees, if I believe the tree standing 10 feet from me is not a tree, that is untrue. I mean, believe it is, say, a dog. Jerry would call that belief the truth, for Mark or whoever. I would call that opinion. Now, the tree exists, true. I call that a true fact, Jerry calls that a fact. Semantics, I know, point being that perception of things doesn’t change things. They are what they are. What you see, what you can see, seeing the truth is what this entire diary is about.
Obviously, Jerry is wrong and I am right. Haha.
Ain’t that the truth.
Another way of stating the obvious truth, ah… perspective, ah… opinion, ah… you know what I mean…
If you call a tail a leg, how many legs does a dog have?
Four – just because you call a thing something, doesn’t make it so.
Insanity is no excuse.
