The Paradigm Shift

Sunday, February 24th, 2008

I’ve spoken about this a lot. And I’ve found the rhetoric to be mind maddeningly deafening at the same time as being pointless.

A paradigm is a function of perception. Mass perception.

As with everything there are going to be agreed upon definitions and boundaries of any given circumstance or thing, so do let’s dispense with the formalities of paradigms and simply agree that a paradigm shift is a large change in the way human beings think usually taking place over a generation or two.

The shift we are now in the grips of is the shift toward quantum thinking, the interconnectedness of everything and that everything plays a role in the nature of reality. The observer largely chooses the nature of reality, in essence. And one cannot exist without having a relationship with all existence, and affect that existence.

This brings me to nationalism and globalism. Only one can address this new way of thinking, and only one can survive.

We are one people on one earth and this new way of thinking will create the circumstance of thought we need as a people to continue to achieve and exist within the quality of life we all desire.

What Do You Do For A Living?

Sunday, February 24th, 2008

Well let’s see. Eat. Breath. Sleep.

Create. Recreate. Okay, those don’t necessarily make a living depending on your point of view but hey, we’re philosophical here.

The reality and the perception are two different things as insanity and nived seem to have grasped.

Just another example. Shall I reiterate?

Humans make a living in the most fundamental way, yet believe a profession or job or career is how they make a living. This is out of touch with reality, the way of things.

Get in touch.

A Defining Moment

Define defining. Something that sets a trend? Something that indicates a paradigm shift?

Here in the US we are on our way.

Check it.

Hope Springs Eternal

Saturday, February 16th, 2008

Yes indeed.

The thought of many things is not necessarily the way of things, in fact, rarely. The way of things is what one comes to grip with or not. When one does get a grip on the way of things, then, one can move in other directions and change the way of things, albeit slowly, but surely, or not.

Is this contradictory? Does achievement as identified by the individual come at the expense of the way of things? Or is achievement the way of things?

Still, hope springs eternal, that one will become what one is not, or do what one does not, until the day when one can let it all go.

You have to let it all go, Neo.

Moving Forward

Saturday, February 9th, 2008

Moving forward walking on my own two feet. . .

That is the start of a song by Off Every Day, not recorded, not released, never heard in fact.

What this reminds me of is the philosophy of motion, or the illusion of motion, or the idea of motion. As we move through history we endlessly repeat human folly yet somehow manage to not only destroy our earth, the earth of which we were a part and can still be, but also evolve beyond the animal instincts that create violence, greed, repression, suppression, discrimination, and on. Reaching eventually neutrality, balance, the middle way, evenness. Yet, we will never effect change, another OED line, seems to also be strongly in place.

So moving forward is the idea that we change, that we move away from things that don’t sustain us and move toward new and different ideas.

Moving forward walking on my own two feet.
